Get the REAL marshmallows here.

There is a lot of  squawking going on in trail running circles these days about the amount of cushioning offered by trail shoes. On one end of the spectrum is the minimus movement. These types of shoes offer very little in the way of cushion and are supposed to conjure up a hunter-gatherer type barefoot running experience for the user. The New Balance  MT10 is a good example of this type of shoe. Other end of the spectrum is the maximus movement with Hoka One One leading the way. Think fat skis for the trail. The cushioning is plush and springy.

Now it is really time to fly!

But why compromise? Pedal and Pole has come up with the ultimate in trail running technology with the “Jet Puffed” Minimus, Maximus shoe. Minimal sole for good trail feel. Maximum “Jet Puffed” cushioning to smooth out those baby heads and talus slopes!

Pro mountain Luger and Hoka athlete, Karl Meltzer checks out the Jet puffed technology. (Later Bernie tried to eat the shoes.)

Plus if you are injured or lost during a trail run, you can toast and eat your shoes while waiting for help to arrive. These shoes make a lot of sense for the trail runner whose regular run could go epic at any moment! This summer it is get Jet Puffed or passed, period. (Retail price is $1200, cash only)
